THE MICRONAUT

Nice to Meet You

Hi, I’m Anika. I’m the founder of Microbeon.

A few years ago, I became interested in microbiology, which fascinates me very much. Looking at things through a microscope is as if you were entering a different galaxy. I’ve been particularly interested in parasitology, and I’ve been absorbing everything I could find on parasites and microbiology, including a series of courses offered by international universities.

During my research, I learned that those who like to travel, spend a lot of time outdoors or live closely with their pets run the greatest risk of being infected with parasites. I would, therefore, like to raise awareness of the fact that parasites are not only a problem in developing countries, but that they are also spreading freely in the western world—such as Lyme disease. I want to help the chronically ill, too, by providing impressive microscopic images and videos of their living blood that may give new clues about the root cause of their maladies.

With Microbeon, I want to fill a gap in healthcare and help you to get well. Of course, you can also contact me if you feel healthy and you’re simply curious to see fancy pictures of your blood.
